The USS Typhon's preferred uniform is the Star Trek: Picard Season 2 & 3 flap style. For our shared look, we wear the gold-and-silver Picard-era combadge, not the grey-and-silver version. When we stand together in matching uniforms, we look and feel more like the crew of one ship. It brings a sense of belonging that a photo can hint at, but that's even better to experience in person. We encourage you to join in with that shared look if you can. If you have a uniform or costume from another Star Trek era, wear it and come along. You are every bit as much a part of the Typhon.

As the 11th Fleet flagship, we're proud of the shared look our crew has put together. When many of us turn up in the same uniform, it feels like we've stepped aboard the same ship, and it gives us a lovely way to represent our Fleet at events. We hope other crews might enjoy finding a look of their own, too. What matters most is the people wearing the uniforms, not whether everybody matches.

You do not need to have the preferred uniform to take part in ordinary chapter life. If you are unsure what to wear to an activity, ask the event organiser or Command Staff before the day.

If you would like the same style, you can look for it at Cosermart. The crew discount code is “PERKS”. Check that it applies at checkout before ordering. Buying this uniform is optional.

Other Picard-era looks

The flap-style uniform is the look we encourage most for crew group photos, but it is not the only Picard-era option. These alternatives fit the era and are welcome at our events. Select an image to see it larger.

Leather-style away jacket

A couple of Typhon crew members wear the leather-style away jacket. It belongs to the Picard-era look and is a welcome option, although we encourage the flap-style uniform more strongly for the shared crew appearance and the “Flaps Only” photo.

Geordi's Season 3 style

Geordi La Forge wears a distinctive uniform style in Star Trek: Picard Season 3. It is another example of a Picard-era look, separate from the flap-style uniform we use for matching crew photos.

Flag-officer uniforms

Our commanding officer wears the Star Trek: Picard Season 2 flag-officer uniform because it works well alongside the crew's flap-style uniforms. The flap style continues into Season 3, but Fleet Admiral Shelby appears in a different flag-officer variant. Wearing the Season 2 version helps keep our group look consistent, even though the on-screen flag-officer style changed. Both are welcome Picard-era looks, but neither is the standard flap style used for the “Flaps Only” photo.

Sydney Oz Comic Con

Saturday has historically been our biggest crew day at Sydney Oz Comic Con, so it is our best chance to gather for group photos. We take a “Flaps Only” photo of crew wearing the matching Picard Season 2 & 3 flap-style uniform, as well as a “Plethora of Trek” photo that brings together all members in their chosen Starfleet uniform or Star Trek-related costume. The Plethora of Trek photo is not limited to Starfleet uniforms or any particular era. Borg, Ferengi, Klingon, Romulan and other Trek costumes are all welcome.

If you have the Picard Season 2 & 3 flap-style uniform, we strongly encourage you to wear it for the Flaps Only photo. Afterward, you are welcome to change into another Starfleet uniform or a Star Trek-related costume for the Plethora of Trek photo and the rest of the day. Many crew choose to keep the shared look for the day, but that is their choice. If you do not have the flap-style uniform, please still come along in your chosen Trek look and join the Plethora of Trek photo. Everyone has a place in that group photo, regardless of which Star Trek era, crew, species or character their costume represents.

On Sunday, wear a Starfleet uniform or Star Trek-related costume from any part of Star Trek. In the rare case that you closely resemble a cast member, we encourage you to wear that character’s most recognisable costume for the greatest effect. If you have a particular display role, check with Command Staff about any arrangements for that role.

Taking part together

A uniform can help us present a recognisable crew at an event, but it is not the measure of someone's place aboard. Check the arrangements for each activity, and take part in a way that works for you. For ways to get involved, see Activities.
